Information you give us voluntarily
When you join the Founding List or contact support, we store what you provide: your name, email address, country or region, and any optional context you choose to add, such as broad child age ranges, your education situation, household fascinations, what you are seeking and how you found WSA.
We do not ask for children’s names or dates of birth in public enquiry forms, and we do not buy, append or enrich those details from outside sources.
Account and family data
If you create an account, we hold your sign-in identity and the family information you enter, which may include children’s first names or nicknames, ages, languages, interests and preferences. This information is used to provide and personalise WSA and is available to your family account and authorised WSA personnel where necessary to operate or support the service.
Children’s learning records
Journals, evidence, observations, questions, Journeys and Weekly Parent Updates are private to your family account and protected by per-family access controls. They are not sold, used in advertising or included in public analytics.
First-party analytics
WSA uses privacy-conscious first-party analytics rather than third-party advertising trackers. We may record public page views, fascination-search events, membership views, checkout starts and Founding List or support submissions.
An event may include the page path, a short non-personal label, a random session identifier stored for the browser session, campaign parameters and the referring domain. Analytics does not include message contents, Guide conversations, Journal entries, children’s names or private learning records.
Payments
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers made available by WSA. WSA does not receive or store full card numbers, security codes or banking credentials when those details are handled directly by a payment provider.
WSA may retain purchase and subscription records needed to manage access, accounting, refunds and support, including what was purchased, amount, currency, status and provider reference.
WSA may send account, service, support and transactional communications to the email address associated with your account or enquiry. Marketing communications, if used, will provide an appropriate unsubscribe mechanism.
Why we process information
We process information to operate accounts and memberships, personalise a child’s learning experience, deliver WSA services, answer support requests, maintain security, understand the usefulness of the public site, and meet legal, financial and accounting obligations.
Sharing and service providers
WSA uses service providers to host and operate the platform, authenticate accounts, process payments and support communications. They receive only the information reasonably necessary for their role and handle it under their own legal and security obligations.
WSA does not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed where required by law, to protect legal rights and service security, or in connection with a lawful business transfer.
Keeping and protecting information
We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was provided and for applicable legal, financial, security and dispute-resolution requirements. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information, object to or restrict certain processing where applicable, or raise a privacy concern. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal or accounting duties.
Send requests to theworldschoolatelier@gmail.com. WSA may need to verify your identity before acting on a request involving account or family information.
Where we are based

Families outside South Africa should understand that information may be processed in South Africa and in locations where service providers host or process data, subject to appropriate legal safeguards.
