Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how you may cancel WSA services and when a refund may be available. It forms part of the WSA Terms & Conditions.

Nothing in this policy limits a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

This policy applies to World School Atelier Membership, The Atlas and The Journey.

World School Atelier Membership and The Atlas are recurring digital memberships. The Journey is a bespoke, one-off intellectual and educational journey design, not a subscription.

Certain qualifying electronic transactions may carry a statutory cooling-off right. The right may not apply, or may be limited, where you request immediate digital access, a service has begun with your consent, or a bespoke service has been prepared to your specifications.

WSA will honour any cooling-off or refund right that applies and cannot lawfully be excluded.

Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel from your WSA account where available or email theworldschoolatelier@gmail.com with your account email and subscription details.

Cancellation stops future renewals. Access continues until the end of the current paid period unless applicable law or payment-provider rules require otherwise. Cancellation does not automatically create a refund for a paid period that has already begun.

A refund may be available where:

• a statutory cooling-off or refund right applies;
• WSA cannot deliver the purchased service as agreed;
• a material defect or error cannot reasonably be remedied;
• a duplicate payment was made;
• an unauthorised transaction is confirmed; or
• WSA otherwise agrees that a refund is appropriate.

Eligibility depends on the service, timing of the request, whether access or work has begun, and applicable law.

A refund is not normally available because you changed your mind after using digital content, did not use a membership, failed to cancel before renewal, breached the Terms, or requested cancellation after personalised work began. This does not override rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The Journey is prepared specifically for a family. Its scope, timing and payment terms are agreed before work begins.

Because it is a personalised service, a refund is generally not available after work has started, unless WSA cannot perform the agreed service, materially breaches the agreement, or applicable law requires a refund. If work has not begun, any agreed or statutory cancellation right will apply.

Email theworldschoolatelier@gmail.com with your name, account email, order or subscription reference if available, purchase date, service and reason for the request.

WSA will acknowledge and review the request under this policy and applicable law.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible. Processing times depend on the payment provider, bank and method used. WSA will process an approved refund promptly, subject to any required provider process.

Payments are handled by third-party payment providers made available by WSA. Recurring memberships are intended to use PayPal where available, but a provider is active only when shown at checkout.

Please contact WSA before opening a chargeback so the issue can be reviewed. If a payment is disputed directly with a bank or payment provider, WSA may temporarily restrict the related access while the dispute is resolved.

WSA may update this policy by publishing a revised version and date. Changes apply to future purchases and as otherwise permitted by law.
